Going Within to Find Inner Peace

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

This is one of the first mantra/chant I ever memorized. I remember when I first heard this chant in a local yoga class.

I loved the vibration it left in the room after it was chanted several times. I immediately was curious, “What does this beautiful saying mean?”

In the Jivamukti yoga tradition it translates to “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.”

Let’s take a deeper look at each of these words and how you can find inner peace by blessing others not just yourself.
